While there is chaos in Great Britain over the corona rules, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is happy about the new addition to the family. His wife, Carrie, gave birth to a daughter.
Good news for Prime Minister Boris Johnson, after all. His wife Carrie gave birth to their first daughter in a London hospital early that morning.
Boris Johnson has become a father again
“The Prime Minister and Ms. Johnson are pleased to announce the birth of a healthy girl in a London hospital. The mother and daughter are doing very well. The couple would like to thank the excellent NHS maternity team for their care and support,” said a spokesman announce.
The couple’s first child, son Wilf, was only born in April of last year. For the politician it is at least the seventh child. Johnson makes a big secret of how many offspring he actually has. He has four children with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler and now two with Carrie Johnson. Another one of an affair will probably be added.
The hustle and bustle of alleged lockdown parties
Aside from private pleasure, Johnson is currently facing harsh criticism. The reason for this are alleged lockdown parties in the government seat of 10 Downing Street. “One rule for you and new rules for the rest of us,” was the headline of the Daily Mail, alluding to stricter corona measures that the head of government had announced. On the front page of the “Telegraph” a comment was touched with the question: “The beginning of the end for Boris?”.
Johnson apologized in parliament on Wednesday. Not for an alleged party of his employees while the rest of the country was in lockdown, but for a video in which his former press secretary joked with colleagues about how such a party could be publicly justified. Johnson further denied that there had been a breach of the rules, but opened an internal investigation.
Meanwhile, newspapers reported about further parties that were illegal under the Corona rules at the time in government buildings and even in the prime minister’s office at the end of last year. The scandal, which has been smoldering for over a week, is now referred to by the press as the “party gate”.
