Boris Becker has been found guilty of several charges in the London criminal trial. The sentence will be announced on April 29th.

Boris Becker (54) is guilty – the jury of the criminal chamber of a court in London came to this conclusion on Friday afternoon. According to consistent media reports, however, he was only found guilty of four out of 24 charges. The court found it proven that Becker concealed parts of his exact assets in bankruptcy proceedings against his bankruptcy trustee Mark Ford. Becker faces a prison sentence. The exact sentence is to be announced on April 29th.

Becker himself had to be ready for the verdict for three days in the courthouse of Southwark Crown Court, just a few kilometers from Wimbledon. The jury had allowed a total of three days to reach their verdict. Becker’s defense had argued that their client had no precise insight into his assets and that he had not taken care of his finances.

He faces seven years in prison

The public prosecutor’s office did not believe these statements. Becker only blames his advisors. He intentionally withheld his exact financial circumstances. He now faces a total of seven years in prison. Boris Becker has the opportunity to appeal the verdict with his lawyers.
