Penguin Random House Germany places great value on tradition. The company’s origins go back to the C. Bertelsmann publishing house, which was founded in 1835. The company, based in Munich, now describes itself as the leading German-speaking trade publishing group. In addition to Penguin Random House, it includes a total of around 40 publishers, from DVA, Goldmann, Heyne, Luchterhand to Prestel and Siedler. Many bestsellers come from the company.
