Book a flight: This is the difference between non-stop and direct flights

In 2021 alone, around 73 million people flew in an airplane in Germany. There are over 150 different airlines in Germany. And they offer their passengers a wide variety of tickets. From non-stop flights to direct flights to connecting flights, every passenger can book the right ticket for their trip. If you book a direct flight, you usually want to land at your destination without a stopover. But the term direct flight is quite misleading. Because here it can very well come to a stopover. It can happen, for example, that passengers board, the plane has to be refueled or the staff changes. In the case of direct flights, however, passengers would then continue to fly on the same aircraft and under the same flight number. But if you want to arrive at your destination without a stopover, you have to book a non-stop flight. This takes the traveler straight to their destination. However, the chance of unexpectedly booking a direct flight and being surprised by stopovers is slim. You should only look carefully when buying the ticket, because it is already marked at the time of booking whether there will be a stopover on the direct flight.
