The hall in which Judge Heike Kremz usually hears her cases on Tuesdays has six seats for listeners. This week, however, Kremz is calling for “the Böhmermann case against … organic beekeeping.” As a precaution, the date was moved to the jury room of the Dresden regional court for obvious attention-saving reasons; there would have been space for 100 people here. Not so many full-time and privately curious people came, and even in the rarely better seats at the front of the judge, a crucial place remains vacant: that of the moderator, satirist and plaintiff Jan Böhmermann.
