Bogenhausen: Firefighters rescue 20-year-olds from the Isar – Munich

Emergency services from the Munich fire department rescued a severely hypothermic man from the Isar on Sunday. In the early hours of the morning, an emergency call came in that there was a person in the water in the area of the Luitpold Bridge. The rescuers found the 20-year-old in about waist-deep water on the east bank below the Peace Angel.

Since there is a quay wall several meters high there, the man could no longer leave the water under his own power, according to the fire department. He was freed from his life-threatening situation using a ladder and then transported to the shock room of a Munich clinic. It was not initially known why the 20-year-old was in the water. The police have started an investigation.
