Boeing accident: The bolts were missing – Economy

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has once again done its job thoroughly. In the prescribed time – namely no later than one month after the accident – the American accident investigation authority presented its first interim report on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 on Tuesday evening. The 19 pages deal with the assembly work at the Boeing factory in Renton, Washington State, which almost certainly led to the almost catastrophic accident. They document the course of the flight on January 5th and describe the condition of the damaged Boeing 737-9. One question in particular arose: Were the bolts used to fasten the part installed on the door panel that had broken out and forced the jet to make an emergency landing and plunged Boeing into a deep crisis?
