Last game abandoned in the Bundesliga almost eleven years ago

It was the eighth game abandoned in the Bundesliga, the first since April 1, 2011. Back then, when FC St. Pauli lost 2-0 to Schalke 04, linesman Thorsten Schiffner was hit by a beer mug.

Before the game, the Bochum team asked the 25,000 spectators in the Ruhr Stadium in a video with captain Anthony Losilla not to throw any objects onto the field and rather to drink the beer.
