Bob Saget, best known for his role as Danny Tanner in “The House Party”, is dead

Party at home is finished. American comedian Bob Saget, best known for his role in the 1980s-1990s sitcom, was found dead in a Florida hotel room, local police said on Sunday.

Police were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando “regarding an unconscious man in a hotel room and the man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced dead on the spot,” the county sheriff’s office tweeted of Orange. “No sign of criminal act or drug use” was found, he said.

Bob Saget, 65, rose to fame playing Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters, whose twins played by sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, in the soap opera Party at home. The sitcom, which aired from 1987 to 1995, was the subject of a sequel on Netflix between 2016 and 2020, focusing on one of the girls, DJ Tanner.

Hours before the news of his death was announced, the actor was still tweeting about his pleasure in performing in Jacksonville. “I loved the show tonight at the Concert Hall in Jacksonville. An enthusiastic audience. Thanks again to Tim Wilkins for the first part. I didn’t know I did a 2 hour set tonight. Glad to be addicted to this shit again. “Bob Saget was an actor we adored and who pushed the limits. He will be missed ”, greeted the television channel Comedy Central on its Twitter account. He was married to Kelly Rizzo and had three daughters.
