Whether an object is perceived as attractive or even triggers a spontaneous wow effect is usually decided at the first moment. And of course such a wow effect is the goal of every form creator. “We wanted to make something that you would immediately fall in love with,” says Harry Schmidt in Lisbon. Schmidt is the designer of BMW’s latest electric two-wheeler, the CE 02, as it is not very melodiously called. The CE 02 is currently being presented for test drives in Lisbon and will be available at dealers in the spring. The fact that Schmidt and his people have managed to create “a feeling of coolness and fun” with the vehicle, as Schmidt says, can be seen in Lisbon not only from the reactions of the test drivers, all of whom are impressed with the little speedster. There are also lots of appreciative looks and thumbs up at the traffic lights.
