It was a night of stars and starlets: Joko Winterscheidt, Dunja Hayali and Tim Mälzer were among the award winners at the Blue Panther.

The presentation of the Blue Panther – TV & Streaming Award took place in the evening in the Bavarian capital Munich. Known as the Bavarian Television Prize until 2021, the awards gala honors creatives from the fields of TV, streaming and online entertainment. Becker’s daughter initially impressed on the red carpet before the gala at BMW Welt in Munich Anna Ermakova (23), who appeared together with mother Angela Ermakova (55). The winner of this year’s “Let’s Dance” season attracted everyone’s attention in front of the photographers present.

The winners of the Blue Panther Award

This year, the Bavarian Prime Minister’s honorary award for the Blue Panther – TV & Streaming Award went to the TV journalist Dunja Hayali (49). The Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (56) honored Hayalis’ formative achievements on German television with the award. “Dunja Hayali stands for a clear compass against racism, misogyny and discrimination against minorities. With facts, wisdom and humor she advocates tolerance, integration and a democratic culture of discussion,” was the reasoning behind it.

At the awards gala hosted by Katrin Müller-Hohenstein (58) and Tobias Krell (37), a number of popular TV and streaming productions were able to celebrate awards. For example, cult presenter Joko Winterscheidt (44) received a prize in the culture/education category for his new documentary series about climate change “Joko Winterscheidt Presents: The World’s Most Dangerous Show” published on Amazon Prime Video.

In his documentary series, Winterscheidt shows viewers the “causes of climate change and shows possible strategies for countering it in a clear, forceful, but never finger-wagging manner,” the jury said in its statement.

Tim Mälzer, “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben” and “Die Kaiserin” triumph

Another production from the international streaming service Amazon Prime Video also received an award. The Munich actress Jeanette Hain (54) received the Blue Panther as “Best Actress” in the fiction category. She was honored for her performance in the German streaming series “Luden – Kings of the Reeperbahn”, which was released on Prime Video at the beginning of the year and is about St. Pauli in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Star chef Tim Mälzer (52) and actor André Dietz (48) received a Blue Panther in the entertainment category for their VOX show “Zum Schwarzwälder Hirsch – an extraordinary kitchen crew and Tim Mälzer”, in which 13 people with Down syndrome were treated for a month work in a restaurant. Mälzer and Dietz led the show as presenters and hosts.

The romantic German historical series “The Empress” about Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Devrim Lingnau, 24) and her love for Emperor Franz Joseph I (Philip Froissant, 29), which appeared on the streaming service Netflix, was also awarded a Panther: series creator Katharina Eyssen (40) received it in the fiction category for “Best Screenplay”.

Last but not least, presenter Joko Winterscheidt and his congenial partner Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (40) received a Blue Panther audience award in the entertainment category for their hit format “Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben”. The ProSieben show was named “Most Popular Entertainment Show”.
