About a year after the violent death of a 47-year-old woman in Laufach, Lower Franconia, investigators convicted her father as the perpetrator. The 83-year-old shot himself after the crime, the public prosecutor’s office in Aschaffenburg and the police headquarters in Lower Franconia announced on Tuesday.
The two dead were found in an apartment in Laufach (Aschaffenburg district) in mid-October. The woman died from head injuries and her father from gunshot wounds. The police had temporarily arrested the woman’s partner as a suspect. “An initial suspicion against a man could finally be assessed as unfounded,” said the public prosecutor’s office and police headquarters. The investigations of the criminal police and a report by the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office now confirm that “the 83-year-old is also responsible for the death of the 47-year-old”. The 83-year-old then shot himself.
