A blind bride from Great Britain had a special wish on her wedding day: she wanted her guests to experience the most beautiful moment of their lives just as she did. She shares the moving moment in a TikTok clip.

“It was such an emotional moment that I will remember for the rest of my life,” writes the British Lucy Edwards under her video on TikTok, which has now been viewed by more than six million people. In the video, the bride can be seen getting out of a car and being led to the altar by her father. Until then, everything seems like any other wedding. However, the bride and groom have thought of something special for the ceremony: all wedding guests, including the groom, should wear a blindfold.

When the bride finally arrives at the altar and with her husband, the guests sit down and remove their blindfolds. They watch Ollie take off his dress while still blindfolded Woman touched: “He could feel my wedding dress the way I did when I wore it for the first time,” the bride describes the moment.

Bride explains her reasons

In the description of the clip, Lucy Edwards explains why she and her husband decided before the wedding to let their guests experience the most beautiful moment of their lives to date, the way everything feels for Lucy. She didn’t want to be led down the aisle like every other bride, but in her own way: “Remember that it’s something special and you don’t have to stick to traditions if you don’t want to,” writes the bride, adding, that a wedding day is about her and the person she loves – and that the moment has to feel right.

Because she suffers from the very rare genetic disease called Bloch-Sulzberger syndrome or “incontinentia pigmenti”, Lucy lost her eyesight as a teenager. The woman discusses her illness on her TikTok profile and regularly appears as a blind person when traveling and doing activities. Her followers are thrilled with the clip of her wedding. One user commented: “I’m crying right now. This is such a beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing it with us.” Another user writes: “Wow, goosebumps!” and “I love that he has to cry without seeing how beautiful she looks.”
