She made no friends with “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”
Candidate Sylvia Kooymans got the network going on Monday evening. In the quiz show, the mother of five allowed herself a few sayings at the expense of her daughter. Many TV viewers didn’t like that at all.
As soon as Kooyman’s moderator Günther Jauch (65) sat across from her, she started. The quizmaster in his introductory round: “You come from Höxter, are married and have five children.” About her only daughter, the candidate said: “Thank God only one…” In response to Jauch’s question “Why is that so?” Put the North Rhine -Westfälin even after.
Kooymans on the show: “She is very nice and sweet, but also very exhausting. Just like girls are. ”And on with a slightly annoyed undertone:“ You put things on the boys’ side – four jeans, sweaters. You put it down for your daughter and she changes three times – already at the age of two. “
Meanwhile, however, her daughter is already 20 years old, Kooymans breathed a sigh of relief. “The worst is through.” But: “She’s still at home, she doesn’t want to move out either.” What no one suspected at that moment: Jauch’s candidate hired the young lady as a telephone joker.
Her mother needed a lot of help with the 32,000 euro question. Jauch wanted to know: “What is the name of the current best-of compilation by Udo Lindenberg, which includes 75 songs on the occasion of his 75th birthday?” After the 50/50 joker, “Udoptimismus” and “Udopium” remained as options.
When Kooymans wanted to call her daughter Julia, Jauch teased: “Oh, now all of a sudden. She’s supposed to save her now. ”His candidate told him on the occasion:“ She had just been in America for a year because we didn’t get along so well. ”Finally, Kooymans called her brother-in-law, who didn’t know the answer either.
So she got out and preferred to take the 16,000 euros she had earned with her. For Günther Jauch, however, the number was not over yet. He was dying to call Kooyman’s daughter. Maybe she would have known the answer. The moderator joked on the phone: “Your mother is sitting across from me. She’s such a fan of them. ”
In fact, Julia would have had the right nose for “Udopium”. All five children should receive something from the profit. Sylvia Kooymans wants to put the rest of the house in need of renovation. Her appearance with the tips that were certainly not meant to be malicious brought the candidate some nasty comments on Twitter.
