TVs with LED, QLED or OLED?
as LED TV refers to devices in which the background lighting or the image is generated by light-emitting diodes. The technology has been used in televisions for around ten years and is therefore no longer up to date. For this reason, LED televisions are relatively cheap. Good models can be found for less than 200 euros.
OLED stands for “Organic Light Emitting Diode”. The technology involves organic light-emitting diodes, which are light source and image generator at the same time. They ensure strong and brilliant colors. The disadvantage of the organic light source is that the color and light intensity decreases after a certain time.
However, the phenomenon can only be observed after around 20,000 hours of use. OLED televisions are significantly more expensive than the LED models and usually cost upwards of 1000 euros.
