Björn Böhning: the new managing director of the producer alliance – media

Interviewed by

The professional background is similar: Over the past 14 years, Christoph Palmer, former CDU state minister from Baden-Württemberg, has managed the business of Alliance of German Producers Film & Television. At the beginning of May, a former politician will take over the post again, this time one from the SPD. Björn Böhning, 43, was Juso federal chairman, head of the Berlin Senate Chancellery and finally State Secretary. The alliance represents 300 companies from the fields of animation, entertainment, documentation, television, cinema and advertising. Important producers are on the board of an industry in which more is produced than ever before – also because streaming services are changing the market. And that’s just the beginning, Böhning believes.
