Crypto exchange “BitMart” has been hacked andMore than $100 million in damagesAs reported by security researchers PeckShield
PeckShield hasnoticeThe transfer was too large, found thathas been sentThe tokens came out of BitMart’s hot wallet, with the tokens included in bulk meme tokens such as shiba (SHIB), plus over half a million dollars in USDC. The money is sent to an Ethereum-based mixing service, Tornado Cash, which makes it harder to track.
Other critics have pointed out that the money has also been removed from the Binance Smart Chain, which could increase the damage value.
While the BitMart exchange has not confirmed the hack this time.
