The market for IT security in Germany is likely to break the ten billion euro mark for the first time in 2025. The volume will then be estimated at 10.3 billion euros, the digital association Bitkom announced on Tuesday in Berlin. More money is currently being spent on IT security than ever before. In 2022, the total for hardware, software and services should be around 7.8 billion euros. That would correspond to an increase of 13 percent. Expenditure should increase by around ten percent in each of the coming years. “Cyber attacks can endanger the existence of companies in all sectors,” said Bitkom board member Udo Littke.
