Births in Ebersberg: visit to 102 babies – Ebersberg

The baby is here! With the birth of a (further) child, an exciting and new phase of life begins with many beautiful moments, but also a time of challenges and reorientation for all family members. The “Hello little Ebersberger” offer from the KoKi – Netzwerk Frühekinder wants to support families in starting a new life together. In the 15 participating communities, the new parents receive a card on which they can note the visit of the baby visitor if they wish. If no visit is desired, the welcome gift can also be picked up at the town hall of the participating municipality.

The year 2021 was – according to the network – “another exciting, challenging, but also enjoyable year”. After the municipalities of Egmating and Bruck/Alxing joined the “Hello little Ebersberger” family in 2020, Markt Schwaben will follow in 2022.

The project could be offered throughout 2021 in compliance with the currently applicable protection and hygiene measures. The baby visitors Kristina Eibl and Veronika Brackhane have been sharing the baby visits in the district since this year. You will visit the family once and welcome the baby. During the visit, there is information about the wide range of activities, leisure activities and care in the first years of life in the communities.

In a joint conversation, questions about life with a baby can be asked. “Especially in the last two years, when many offers were only possible to a limited extent, the families were happy to receive up-to-date information on opportunities to participate, for example in online courses. The free welcome visit and the associated appreciation and sympathy were very well received.” , according to the baby visitors. A list of important contacts in the district is also handed out during the visit. The offer can be taken up until the child’s first birthday.

The baby visitor brings a practical backpack as a gift. This contains important information, such as the list of childcare facilities and child day care in the municipality as well as a children’s book, baby socks and two other information brochures. These contain information about the first months of life. An information folder contains the family guide for the district of Ebersberg and some flyers about the offers in the district.

In 2021 there were 882 births in the participating communities in the Ebersberg district. 102 families took advantage of a baby visit and an additional 188 families picked up the backpack at their local community. A total of 290 families were informed about the offers in the district.
