Robbie Williams was able to celebrate success worldwide and inspire the masses as an entertainer. The wild star with drug problems has now become a happy father.

Robbie Williams loves art and that’s why he cleans up in between to make room for new ones. In March, he wants to auction three original Banksy works in London, worth $13.6 million.

According to the Financial Times, the “Angels” interpreter is said to have received these works personally from the artist in the early 2000s. The superstar turns 48 today.

Entertainer in the English working-class area

The singer comes from the British working-class area in Staffordshire, where he was born in 1974. As a child he suffered from reading difficulties, which made it difficult for him to teach at school, but as a class clown he already knew how to use his entertainment talent. His parents owned a pub where he regularly entertained guests with shows and old swing classics.

At the age of 16, Williams became a member of the band Take That when his mother signed him up for a selection process in 1990 to put together a boy band. Take That was born and became the most commercially successful band of the 1990s. But despite or perhaps because of the huge success, Robbie Williams became increasingly unhappy and fell victim to his drug problems. In 1995, after falling out with his bandmates, he left the group. Take That existed for only a few months and disbanded on February 13, 1996, William’s 22nd birthday. Robbie Williams himself started his solo career and was soon able to build on the huge successes with Take That.

Mega successes in Europe

The British entertainer started an almost incomparable solo career. To date, he has released eleven studio albums, wrote music history for decades with hits such as “Freedom”, “Angels”, “Let me Entertain You” and “Candy” and has been able to occupy the top spots in the charts throughout Europe for years. The Briton has won countless awards in his career. In Germany alone, he had an impressive collection of nine Echo wins from 2002 to 2014. With 18 Brit Awards, he has won more than any other British artist. He has been in the Guinness Book of Records since 2006 when he sold 1.6 million tickets for his world tour “Close Encounters Tour” in a single day. In the USA, however, he has not been able to achieve this success to this day.

He was able to fight the drug problems from earlier years and settle down with the family. In his wild years, he was rumored to have affairs and flirtation with stars like Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman and Naomi Campbell. He has been married to Turkish-American actress Ayda Field since 2010. The California-based couple has four children. He has reconciled with his former bandmates. The band has existed again since 2005, and since 2010 Williams himself has occasionally been involved in performances.
