Garbage disposal is also becoming more expensive. But there are ways to only pay for what you actually throw away when it comes to organic waste fees. At the Zweckverband Südwest, citizens in the area between Neubiberg in the north and Aying in the south have so far paid a basic fee and a price for residual and organic waste, which is graded according to the size of the bin. In addition to the basic fee, a performance fee for residual waste and one for organic waste has recently become due. As a result, the bins for organic and residual waste can have different sizes, the association reports. The fee for residual waste will also drop slightly, but the biowaste fee will be added. For them, at least 101 euros per year are incurred for the smallest organic waste bin of 80 liters. Those who have less organic waste can share a bin with a neighbor or verifiably prove that they compost themselves. A spokeswoman for the association emphasizes: “The obligation to separate organic waste remains.”
