This interview with Jan Plagge, head of the Bioland farmers and the European organic umbrella organization IFOAM, was supposed to be about the agricultural turnaround in Germany and the huge tasks facing the new Green Federal Minister of Agriculture, Cem Özdemir. The meeting takes place in his office in Augsburg, three days before Russia invaded Ukraine. But after that the world is different. Reason enough for another conversation, in which completely different questions suddenly come into focus.
