Jobson explains in an article of “Daily Mail“that the king is very aware of how roles are divided in his family. “Charles has no illusions that it is the younger royals who have star qualities and are vital to the future of our monarchy,” According to the insider, this could also be seen at the Chelsea Flower Show, where Kate’s performance attracted more attention than the visit of Charles and Queen Camilla (75), but the king’s daughter-in-law “always ensures the right kind of headlines”.
And that’s why Charles is not jealous of Kate and her success, as Jobson emphasizes. “Speculation that Charles is concerned that his son and daughter-in-law could steal his attention is completely wrong. Whatever he may have felt in the past, the king knows his role is different now. His position as head of state and ‘father of the nation’ must be a unifying one.”
