Binance has announced that it has recovered $5.8 million worth of funds stolen from last month’s Axie Infinity hack, according to Binance founder Changpeng Zhao in a tweet.
The total was worth $625 million, which US security officials say is behind North Korean hacker group Lazarus, according to reports.
Activity over the past week from the attacker’s primary address – tagged as Ronin Bridge Exploiter On Etherscan – Thousands of ETH have been moved in the past few days. But the wallet still holds $285 million worth of assets at the time of writing.
