Bill Murray has been suspended from filming ‘Being Mortal’ for ‘inappropriate behavior’. That’s what the Hollywood star says about the allegations.
At the end of April, Bill Murray (71) was suspended from filming the film “Being Mortal” because of “inappropriate behavior”. Now the US actor has commented on his suspension for the first time. in one Interview with CNBC He described the incident as follows: “I had a disagreement with a woman I work with. I did something that I thought was funny and it wasn’t taken that way. The studio wanted to do the right thing, so they wanted to check everything and are investigating and have halted production.”
So far, no talks have taken place with the production company Searchlight Pictures. However, Murray confirmed that he was in contact with the woman concerned: “Right now we are talking and trying to reconcile. (…) If we can’t get along and trust each other, there’s no point in continuing to work together or making a film. It was quite a lesson for me. For the past week or two I’ve done nothing but think about her.”

Just over a week ago, news broke that Bill Murray had been suspended from the set of Being Mortal for “inappropriate behavior.” Searchlight Pictures then suspended filming on the film. An email to the employees allegedly said that an official complaint had drawn attention to an issue that is now being investigated.
Shortly thereafter, the US site “Page Six” wanted to get more details from a set employee. According to the report, Murray would have made some female co-stars uncomfortable with being too close. He said he didn’t touch anyone in private places, but put his arm around a woman, touched her hair, pulled her ponytail – but always in a comedic way. It’s a fine line and everyone loves Bill. But even if his behavior isn’t was a criminal offence, some women felt uncomfortable and he crossed a line.”
