Bill Cosby is a free man – and much more: He is now considered innocent and can no longer be prosecuted for sexual assault. That was decided by the Supreme Court in the US state of Pennsylvania. It is worth studying the 79-page reasoning for the judgment more closely. It doesn’t say that the judges think the entertainer is innocent, it just says that there should never have been a criminal trial, even though he confessed in a civil trial and even though jury members considered it beyond doubt that he was a woman had drugged and sexually abused. Cosby is free because he has never been convicted.
