  • Bilal Hassani shared the 2020 confinement with several artist and youtuber friends in a Parisian building.
  • Together they created an artistic group called La Fabuleuse.
  • For 20 minutes, the singer and the members of the group recount their experience of deconfinement.

What are you doing for the holidays? Gathered by 20 minutes for the needs of the front page of our new formula, Bilal Hassani, Sulivan Gwed, Gisèle Journo and Johann (SparkDise) talk about their summer projects.

A discussion between young people (almost) like the others. “I’m going to the Ile de Ré, as usual …”, smiles Sulivan. “Me, I’m going to Miami! I didn’t bother getting vaccinated to spend the summer in France… ”, Johann continues. “I don’t know yet, I have to repeat…”, laments Gisèle. But after a few flashes, at the first of the shooting, the group of friends (who are distinguished by the number of followers on the networks) begins to consider a joint vacation. “We can’t help it,” Bilal smiles fatalistically.

A building at the Friends

Deconfined, the group of friends will have to do violence to each other to take vacations from each other. “We love each other but when we see each other we can not help but work and launch projects”, explains Bilal Hassani, leader of the band. The young artist, revealed to the general public during Eurovision 2019, takes a philosophical look at the recent periods of confinement. “In recent months, we got confused, we got to know each other… The world was going too fast, we didn’t have time. Thanks to this break, we reconnected between human beings! “

Sulivan Gwed confirms: “We are working together on our respective projects. It’s great because we got to know each other like that and therefore we respect each other as humans and artists. “During the confinement of 2020, the group of friends, artists and YouTubers, thus created the group La Fabuleuse. “We are lucky to have lived our fantasy of Friends, says Bilal Hassani. We lived in confinement in the same building with my friends: Guila, Wesley Krid, Johann, Sul, Jules, Bilal… We all lived and worked together and we are called La Fabuleuse. “

A village culture

For them, confinement has “accelerated everything. We learned to produce songs, edit a music video, finance all that… We had our hands in the job, we were in it all the time. Experts in managing their image and their projects on the networks, the members of La Fabuleuse have also kept a permanent link with their followers. “It’s a village culture, of the countryside,” explains Bilal Hassani. During these confinements, some felt alone while they were surrounded. Others were very connected to the world while being alone… We had the human bond between us, and bond with our fans. Thanks to their feedback, we know that we have a mission, a voice that carries, things to say. “

“It’s a mess at La Fabuleuse, but a beautiful creative mess. We are children, so we did something stupid…. We started making money at ages not possible, we didn’t have a teenage crisis. “The memories of this first confinement are therefore rich… and mixed. “In solitude, the young man does bullshit, eludes Bilal Hassani to explain that he now has another apartment. I had to distance myself from the group. Since 2019, I have been in a tornado that does not stop. They are quiet for the moment. “

A health and healthy break

If the group is teeming with ideas – books, podcasts, albums… – deconfinement is not perceived as an accelerator of projects. “We can’t accelerate, we are already full all the time,” laughs Johann. Our problem is that we don’t know how to stop. “

The mother of Bilal Hassani, manager of the group of friends and president of the label, House of Hassani, opines: “I hope to be able to take Bilal on vacation for a week but I do not know if I will make it …” While the session photo is coming to an end, Bilal has to go to a radio recording and takes advantage of a hairstyle fitting to swallow some fries. “After the release of my second album, a week before the second confinement, I was confused, I immediately wanted to bring out an album. My mother calmed me down. And during the first confinement, in March 2020, I was dead tired. If the pandemic hadn’t stopped the tour, I don’t know what state I would have ended up in. It was a healthy and healthy break! “
