8:35 a.m .: Biden meets Zelensky and promises another arms shipment
Joe Biden announced on Sunday the supply of new American weapons and ammunition to Ukraine during a meeting with his counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan.
These new shipments will include “ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles,” the US president said, days after giving Washington’s allies the deal to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
