Bicycle technology: KIS system on mountain bikes – Car & Mobile

Vincenz Thoma has been working as an engineer for the Koblenz bicycle manufacturer Canyon for 15 years. He says: “Cycling is a very fragile thing.” And in order to make this fragile thing safer and more stable, he and his team have been working on the so-called HIS system for a little over two years. The abbreviation stands for “Keep It Stable” and refers to a basically simple device in the top and head tube that influences the steering behavior of the bicycle. Canyon is the first major manufacturer to install this system as standard in its Spectral mountain bike series.
