Beyoncé has already set numerous records. Now she is conquering the country world with her album “Cowboy Carter”.

Superstar Beyoncé (42) has achieved a lot in recent years, and now the singer is crowning her career with a record that is certainly special for her. Her new long player “Cowboy Carter” is not only her eighth number one album in the “Billboard 200” charts and has the best US start for an album since Taylor Swift’s (34) “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” at the end of last year. Beyoncé is also the first Black artist to reach the top of the US country album chart since it was first recorded in January 1964.

Beyoncé showed everyone

In February, Queen Bey, as Beyoncé is also fondly called, became the first black woman to shake up the country singles charts with her single “Texas Hold ‘Em.” For the singer, this historic double success should be a certain satisfaction. According to her single record she had hinted on Instagramhow a particular country experience seems to have had a lasting impact on her.

“This album was over five years in the making. It grew out of an experience I had years ago when I felt unwelcome… and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” the singer wrote. Although she didn’t say exactly what it was about, it could have been a performance at the Country Music Association Awards in 2016, after which it was lots of racist comments had given.

Because of the experience, she delved deeper into the history of country music. Beyoncé explains, “The criticism I faced when I first got into this genre forced me to overcome the limitations that were placed on me.” At the same time, Queen Bey emphasized: “I am honored to be the first Black woman to have a single at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart. This would not have been possible without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. ” She hopes that in the future the mention of an artist’s skin color will be “irrelevant when it comes to the release of music genres.”

Back on the throne in Germany too

The US star is also extremely successful in Germany with his new album. Beyoncé even managed something that she hasn’t managed for more than 20 years: With “Cowboy Carter” she landed back on the throne of the Official German Album on April 5th for the first time since her solo debut “Dangerously in Love” (2003). -Charts determined by GfK Entertainment. She had previously achieved the top ranking with the Destiny’s Child record “Survivor” (2001).

She is still missing this prestigious award

This is far from the first time that Beyoncé has made history. In her long career, the singer has already set countless records. The Grammy Awards, one of the most important music awards in the world, are now firmly in Beyoncé’s hands. Since her first nomination in 2000, back then with her girl group Destiny’s Child, the artist has been honored in a wide variety of categories. No one else has been honored as often as Beyoncé in the history of the awards: 32 of the coveted trophies have been in her closet since last year.

Queen Bey alone tops the list of the most frequent Grammy winners, and she shares the list of the most frequent nominations with a very special person in her life. Both Beyoncé and her husband, rap mogul Jay-Z (54), each have 88 nominations – and no other person can come close to the power couple.

At the last Grammy Awards in February 2024 said the rapper on stage but an almost unbelievable omission given these numbers when he was awarded the “Dr. Dre Global Impact Award”. Of all the Grammys, Beyoncé has never won Album of the Year. “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone else and has never won Album of the Year,” Jay-Z said. “Think about it: Most Grammys. Never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”
