Star line-up for Pharrell Williams debut
Jay-Z and Beyoncé supported their musician friend Pharrell Williams in his new job.

Pharrell Williams presented his first show as creative director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s line in Paris – in front of a star cast.
Pharrell Williams, 50, showed off camouflage-inspired prints and suiting with shorts at his debut show as creative director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s line on Tuesday (June 20) in Paris. High-profile celebrities like Beyoncé (41) and Rihanna (35) sat in the front row. Such as the US American “People” reportsthe visitors celebrated the new creative director with thunderous applause and standing ovations.
Hollywood acquaintances supported the new creative director
To kick off Paris men’s fashion week for the spring/summer 2024 collection, the “Happy” singer presented his first show. Numerous A-listers were on the guest list. Beyoncé and Rihanna brought along their partners Jay-Z, 53, and A$AP Rocky, 34. Reality star Kim Kardashian (42) also sat in the front row. Actors Zendaya (26) and Jared Leto (51) also came and supported Williams on his debut. The stars showed up in eye-catching Louis Vuitton looks.
Beyoncé took a break from her world tour to catch the show in the French capital. She wore a flashy gold suit. Zendaya arrived in a jeweled unbuttoned shirt and wide-leg pants. Pregnant Rihanna, whose Louis Vuitton campaign was released just days ago, stepped out in a denim jumpsuit in the new camouflage print. Her partner also wore a denim look. Kim Kardashian presented a sporty bra top and leggings, which she paired with an oversized fluffy fanny pack and heels. Jared Leto arrived in a long white coat.
At the end of the show, Williams walked the runway wearing a pixelated camouflage suit and jeweled glasses.
Successor to the surprisingly deceased Virgil Abloh
In mid-February it became known that the musician would become the new creative director for the men’s line at Louis Vuitton, succeeding the late Virgil Abloh (1980-2021). He was employed by Louis Vuitton in 2018 as artistic director of the men’s line. He was the first black designer for the brand and died on November 28, 2021 at the age of just 41 after a two-year battle with cancer.
The fashion house said in February: “Louis Vuitton is delighted to welcome Pharrell Williams as the new creative director for men. His first collection for Louis Vuitton will be presented next June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.” It continued, “Pharrell Williams is a visionary whose creative universes span music to art to fashion and has become a global cultural icon over the past 20 years.”
The musician has collaborated with the fashion house several times – the first time in 2004.
