The beverage company Coca-Cola continued to recover from the corona pandemic in the third quarter. For the year as a whole, CEO James Quincey is now a little more confident despite the significantly higher raw material prices. The adjusted earnings per share should increase by 15 to 17 percent in 2021, as the group announced on Wednesday. The share then rose in pre-market US trading by almost 3 percent. The group’s sales grew in the reporting period compared to the same period last year by 16 percent to 10 billion dollars. The bottom line was that at just under 2.5 billion dollars, 42 percent more profit was stuck than a year ago. In 2020, the pandemic-related closure of restaurants, stadiums, cinemas and other public facilities, where a significant part of sales are generated, had a severe impact on the group.
