Markus Söder would have liked to see the “Wetten, dass ..?” Comeback on site. However, he had to cancel his participation “with regret”.
When on Saturday (November 6th, 8:15 pm, ZDF) the eagerly awaited comeback of the cult show “Wetten, dass ..?” takes place, a familiar face will not be able to sit in the front row as planned. A spokesman for the state chancellery confirmed to the news agency spot on news that the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (54) has to pass at short notice.
The reason is: “Due to the current Corona development, Mr. Prime Minister regrets that he and his wife have taken part in ‘Wetten, dass ..?’ canceled.” Born in Nuremberg, he originally wanted to be there live when the one-off special edition rises in the exhibition hall in his hometown.
Lots of stars come
Well-known guests will be catered for despite this cancellation. Schlagerqueen Helene Fischer (37) will sing a track from her current number one album for Thomas Gottschalk (71). Rock legend Udo Lindenberg (75) & Das Panikorchester are also there and present their new song “Kompass”. Björn Ulvaeus (76) and Benny Andersson (74) from the cult band ABBA also come together to talk about their comeback after 40 years.
The presenters Joko Winterscheidt (42) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (38) as well as Heino Ferch (58) and fellow actor Svenja Jung (28) are among the competition sponsors. In addition, more surprise guests were announced. Gottschalk’s former co-host Michelle Hunziker (44) is also part of the show.
