It’s the TV sensation of the year: The producers of “Better Call Saul” announced via Twitter a comeback of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman – the legendary protagonists of “Breaking Bad”. The fans are excited.

It is the successful spin-off of an even more successful series: With “Better Call Saul”, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould told the story of the lawyer Saul Goodman after the end of “Breaking Bad”. The plot partly plays parallel to that of “Breaking Bad”, there are always overlaps. Characters like Mike Ehrmantraut or Gustavo “Gus” Fring also appear in this series.

The sixth and final season of “Better Call Saul” starts on April 18, and the producers have now further increased the fans’ anticipation with a spectacular announcement: “They’re coming back”. With this simple sentence, they announced the return of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, the two protagonists from “Breaking Bad”.

Nobody expected that the two crystal meth distillers would actually make an appearance in person. Especially since Jesse Pinkman got his own film “El Camino” on Netflix in 2019, which continues the events after the end of “Breaking Bad” and the death of Walter White.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul became famous through “Breaking Bad”.

Now you can see the two anti-heroes together again on the screen. The story told by the characters played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul is still a secret. But just the announcement of her return sent the fans into euphoria: the tweet received more than 100,000 likes within a few hours.

One was so enthusiastic that he even mistyped it: actor Bob Odenkirk, who embodies the eponymous lawyer Saul Goodman. “Kaboom! Let’s do rhis,” the 59-year-old wrote on Twitter, correcting himself shortly thereafter: “I was so excited I missed a word … see if you can figure out which one. Love, Bob,” he wrote comedian and actor. He was so excited that he misspelled a word.

Fans will be able to see on Netflix from April 18 whether the comeback of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman actually lives up to the high expectations.
