From this Saturday, visitors are only allowed to enter the Berlin outdoor pools if they present a photo ID at the entrance. The Berliner Bäderbetriebe (BBB) announced this on Friday.

In addition, the security staff should be increased and admission stops should be imposed earlier than before, according to a corresponding message. Further steps are being planned and coordinated.
Video surveillance at the entrances and mobile police stations at the Columbiabad and the Prinzenbad in Kreuzberg are also planned. Clashes broke out at both locations last Sunday.
The Columbiabad in Neukölln was once again closed early and cleared. Since then, the popular outdoor pool has not been reopened due to a high level of sickness. The Columbiabad is not scheduled to reopen until Monday. It was originally supposed to receive visitors again this weekend.
