On the run since Christmas Eve: Berlin police are publicly searching for escapees

He injured two nurses and freed a fellow inmate: The Berlin police are asking the public for help in finding a dangerous patient who escaped from the Wittenau prison ten days ago.

The police and the Berlin public prosecutor’s office are publicly searching for 34-year-old Christian Miguel Feix. On December 24th, Feix and a fellow inmate escaped from the prison hospital in Wittenau and injured two employees. The hospital’s medical management classified the two men as dangerous due to their mental illnesses.

The wanted Feix According to initial investigations, he called a nurse over early on the morning of Christmas Eve around 3:30 a.m. and then attacked her with a pan. When a colleague came to her aid, Feix apparently attacked her with a knife. The suspected attacker then fled the prison premises with another inmate of the same age.

Berlin: Escapee in custody for attempted murder

The alerted police have been looking for the escapees since then, but the search has so far been unsuccessful. Feix was in the facility on attempted homicide charges and is described as follows:
