Berlin-Neukölln: Firecrackers thrown at Hebrew-speaking couple

WDuring the war between Israel and the Islamist organization Hamas, further crimes were committed against Jewish or Israeli people and symbols in Berlin. In Neukölln on Monday evening, a man threw a firecracker at a couple who he said were speaking in Hebrew, the police announced on Tuesday. The alleged perpetrator is said to have spoken Arabic.

An Israeli flag was again damaged. A caretaker hoisted it in front of the town hall in Moabit on Monday morning and was insulted by a group of young people. Two perpetrators then tried to tear down the flag, causing it to be damaged. A similar incident occurred in front of the Neukölln town hall at the weekend, where the flag was torn down.
