Giffey after voting: “Social Democracy has done everything to ensure that this election is well prepared”

NOTE: THIS POSTING IS WITHOUT VOICE TEXT. Franziska Giffey (SPD), acting mayor of Berlin after the vote: “Well, I’m going in with the good feeling that the Social Democrats have done everything to ensure that this election is well prepared. But also so that we can support a social and promote a democratic city. We would like to remain the leading force in this city. We want to ensure that social, economic progress and ecological development are considered together. And we really have an eye on the whole city. That’s what we’re here for. The Social Democracy was on the street a lot. The comrades have achieved an incredible amount in the last few days and weeks. That was a very intense election campaign. And I can tell you today: We gave everything that was possible. And I am very looking forward to the result. We know that many people in our city would have wished that this election had not taken place. I k ann not undo the mistakes that happened back then. But we can now make sure that works well. And the way I hear it now, things are going well at the polling stations. The people come. It has to be said that it was very good election weather. We have neither ice nor snow nor rain. And you can combine that wonderfully with a Sunday walk. And so we hope that we’ll just have a good turnout today.”
