From now on you can swim again in the Bergkirchner See. At the beginning of June, a “plentiful concentration” of blue-green algae was detected in it. Now the health department has lifted the recommendation not to swim there. The lake is currently being sampled weekly. The State Office for Health and Food Safety has now assessed the tests as microbiologically flawless. Further sampling will take place in the coming months and the Water Management Office will carry out a depth profile measurement of the lake.
