The Kochel am See police are looking for witnesses to a dog bite on August 3 in Benediktbeuern. According to the officials, a 24-year-old woman from Gauting was on a hiking trail on the Lainbach that afternoon. At Wurzweg, an off-leash dog initially growled at her, then ran up to her and bit her thigh. Both dog owners, a woman and a man, both in their mid-30s and, according to the police, probably vacationers, had apologized to the woman. But personal details were not exchanged. The injury later turned out to be more serious than initially thought. The fierce dog is said to have been a Belgian Shepherd, while the other dog belonging to the couple was believed to be an Australia Shepherd. The police will take tips on 08041/76106273.
