Benedict Cumberbatch mourns the loss of his sister Tracy Peacock: The artist died at the age of 62.

Sad stroke of fate for Benedict Cumberbatch (45): The actor mourns the loss of his sister Tracy Peacock, who died at the age of 62. “She died of cancer,” he confirms in a statement, that the “Daily Mail” is present. Accordingly, she has fought against her disease “for seven years”. “It’s terrible,” said the 45-year-old.

Peacock was the daughter of Cumberbatch’s mother, Wanda Ventham, 86. It came from the actress’ first marriage to James Tabernacle. After the divorce, Ventham married Cumberbatch’s father Timothy Carlton, 82. Peacock leaves behind a husband and their 34-year-old daughter.

Special memories of his sister

According to Cumberbatch, his sister was a “brilliant visual artist”, “but she ended up doing a lot of restorative work on canvas and on frames and carpentry”. “It had nothing to do with this world. It was clearly different,” he explains. Accordingly, she was “very talented”. They have had a close relationship since they were young.

Peacock often took care of her younger brother. Cumberbatch remembers a special event: She took him to the roof one winter to calm him down. “She forgot about me,” says Cumberbatch. “I mean, it was funny. She was in the kitchen with her friends and suddenly saw the snow fall through the window.”
