Beatrice Egli (35) has every reason to be happy: her new album “Balance” shot up to number one in the German charts in no time at all! In the Interview with RTL the Schlager singer still strikes more serious tones. She talks about a topic that is quite touchy for many women: weight. She shares her experiences and says how she deals with them today.
Beatrice Egli and overweight? You shake your head, but the 35-year-old reports: “My dress size was a problem at the beginning.” She means the big breakthrough after her DSDS-Victory 2013: “I wasn’t always dressed flatteringly.”
An insecurity that the singer has now discarded. What’s more, if music were to be over at some point, Beatrice would like to turn to the catwalk. She already knew her focus: “Women with curves.”
“It’s something I really like because it wasn’t easy for me to find fashion myself. I can very well understand what it’s like for women who have a bit of curves,” says Beatrice Egli.

The singer has slimmed down over the past few years, surprising fans with photos of her waistline on Instagram. However, this weight loss is said not to have been the intention. She once said to RTL: “I don’t want to be a hunger hook.” There is no ideal weight, you should just feel good.

The 35-year-old avoids looking at the scales, she simply pays attention to her feelings. “Besides, I’m really on the road so much and I’m on stage, everyone would lose weight after a while.”
In 2017, the Schlager singer took part “Ninja Warrior Germany – Celebrity Special”. Anyone who knows “Ninja Warrior” knows that this is only for real sports aces. You need muscles, stamina and good body coordination. So Beatrice Egli must have undergone a pretty tough workout.
By the way: one item of clothing has never caused her any problems: her shoes. Although the singer does not have an exact overview, she reveals with a laugh: “My clothes shoe room is larger than my apartment.”
