Olympique de Marseille had to finish the job. A draw would have been enough for him to finish leader of his group and directly qualify for the round of 16 of the Europa League. But the Marseille club ended up giving in, on the gong, against Brighton (0-1), Thursday December 14, and will have to go through the play-offs against a club transferred from the Champions League.

Gennaro Gattuso’s players rather suffered in a tense meeting but poor in chances. They still created clear opportunities by hitting the uprights twice, first through Jonathan Clauss (15th) then through Amine Harit (59th). Huddled at the end of the match, the Marseillais ended up being punished by Joao Pedro after a nice collective movement in a small space (89th). Relive the meeting minute by minute.
