The basketball players of FC Bayern Munich are setting an exclamation mark on the transfer market: Long-time Real coach Pablo Laso has signed a contract with the cup winners until the summer of 2025.

The basketball players at FC Bayern Munich have hired Pablo Laso as their new coach.

As the cup winner announced, the long-time successful coach of Real Madrid will succeed Andrea Trinchieri. The 55-year-old has signed a contract until the summer of 2025.

“It’s a great honor and I’m happy to be in Munich. I’d like to thank this big club for thinking of me writing Bayern’s next chapter in the Euroleague and BBL,” said the Basque.

Six championships at Real

The Spanish coach coached Real Madrid very successfully between 2011 and 2022 and led the team to six championships and two Euroleague titles, among other things.

The Munich team can look back on an unsatisfactory season. In the championship they failed in the semi-finals, in the Euroleague they clearly missed the hoped-for entry into the playoffs.
