Bayonetta 3 gets its “own paint” and new gameplay elements • JPGAMES.DE

In an interview with IGN has Hideki Kamiya a little over bayonetta 3 spoken. He hinted that Bayonetta 3 would get “its own coat of paint” compared to its predecessors and that there would be “new gameplay types.”

The September trailer already hinted at these new gameplay elements. “At the beginning of the trailer, viewers may have been confused as to which game was actually meant. Then we introduced some enemies and it was still unclear – and then Bayonetta appeared.”

“I think the fact that we were able to pull off that deception in the trailer shows that the new game has a flavor of its own. Bayonetta 3 looks a little different and includes some new types of gameplay. I hope players find it fresh,” Kamiya continues.

Kamiya also explained that there are no restrictions or guidelines from Nintendo. “When we released the previous trailer, some fans thought that maybe working with Nintendo would mean we were limited in terms of creative expression, but that’s absolutely not the case,” says Kamiya. “It’s going to be a very Bayonetta-like Bayonetta game.”

As for one thing that probably won’t be in Bayonetta 3: Don’t expect to see Nintendo costumes. “We already did this in Bayonetta 2, so it wouldn’t be much fun to repeat it every time,” said President Atsushi Inaba.
