The celebrations for the 33rd championship are hardly over when Bayern Munich is already working on the squad for the new season. The German record champions managed a real coup.
Just eleven days after winning the 33rd German championship, FC Bayern Munich caused a sensation on the transfer market.
After SPORT1-Information will sign the German record champions Raphael Guerreiro, who comes on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund. Club and player are largely in agreement, only a few details still need to be clarified.
Next week, the Portuguese is due to come to Munich to complete the mandatory medical check and sign a three-year contract until 2026. Guerreiro is a dream player for coach Thomas Tuchel, who had already coached him when he was Dortmund coach.

FC Bayern is already on the verge of signing the second free transfer for the coming season. The Munich team had already agreed with Konrad Laimer on a change for the coming season in winter. The Austrian comes from DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig and thus also from a direct league competitor.
Guerreiro had left an offer for a new contract with Black and Yellow unanswered. On the last day of the Bundesliga match, when Dortmund lost the championship in a dramatic final by beating FSV Mainz 05 2-2, Guerreiro said goodbye with an emotional Instagram post.
Guerreiro planned as Cancelo’s replacement
“After seven incredible years, it is time for me to say goodbye to all of you with great sadness,” Guerreiro began his parting words. He will “never forget the love I have received from the fans and my teammates over these seven years. I had the chance to play with some fantastic players!”
The former BVB star can be used variably. In Munich he is to replace Cancelo, who is returning to Manchester City after the loan end, on the left side of defencebut is also planned for central midfield.
