Hasan Salihamidzic has been in (intensive) talks with numerous Bayern stars for months and is currently fighting for the contract extensions of Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer and Serge Gnabry. According to current reports, however, the 45-year-old himself has to worry about his future with the record champions.
As the “Abendzeitung München” reported on Wednesday, the pressure on Bayern’s chief squad planner is growing. Accordingly, Salihamidzic FCB should not be undisputed internally. According to the newspaper, there is even an early farewell in the room. Appropriately reported “SPORT1”that “everything is under scrutiny” at Bayern Munich, including Salihamidzic’s work.
Contract talks are on hold
According to the TV station, there are definitely critical voices on Säbener Straße. At the most recent supervisory board meeting last Monday, however, no one spoke out against Salihamidzic. On the contrary: the 45-year-old sports director was given confidence.
But one thing is clear: Salihamidzic is under pressure after the disappointing season. The squad has a lot of construction sites that have to be actively tackled in the summer. Brazzo has the main responsibility for putting together the squad and the claim of the Bayern bosses is well known: they want to play in the Champions League again in the new season.
According to “SPORT1” information, Salihamidzic is under observation and will be measured based on the upcoming transfer period and sporting performance in the coming season.
The ex-FCB professional is only contractually bound to the record champions until 2023. Talks about an extension are currently on hold, as “SPORT1” has learned. Whether and how things will continue with Salihamidzic on the Isar, who is already responsible for the sporting fortunes in 2017, will probably only become clear in the coming months and depends largely on the success or failure of Bayern.
