The company is known worldwide, not only for Aspirin, and proud of its 160-year history: Bayer, headquartered in Leverkusen am Rhein, was one of the flagship companies for a long time and was once one of the most valuable corporations in Germany. But that’s over. The reputation is ruined, around 100,000 employees are unsettled, the share price is down, and Bayer may even be broken up at some point.
