A 17-year-old moped driver and his companion were in a chase with the police in Lower Franconia. As the police announced on Thursday, the 17-year-old drove past a traffic control with a partially taped license plate. He ignored the officers’ requests to stop and fled at excessive speed.
His 16-year-old companion then tried to flee from the pursuers by jumping off his moped, but crashed into the trunk of a parked car. The police stopped the youth there and caught the driver of the moped a short time later. Nobody was injured in the incident on Wednesday, the property damage to the parked car is estimated at around 4,000 euros.
