An unknown person is said to be hunting game with a bow and arrow in the woods near Irlbach (Straubing-Bogen district). A hunter told police on Monday that he had found several deer and a wild boar wounded by an arrow in recent months, police said on Tuesday. Some animals were decapitated after being shot.
According to a police spokesman, it is still unclear how long the poacher has been active and how many animals were wounded and killed.
